Biography

Mrs. Deborah Russell was born to Pastor and Mrs. L.V. McMillan on the beatiful tropical island of Nassaua, Bahamas. She was a Mother’s Day gift because she celebrates her birthday on May 10. She is married to one husband, Darrell Russell of Freeport, Bahamas. She has three wonderful children, Darrell Jr.(D.J.), Diedra and Diamond. She also has one pet dog named “Polo”. Mrs. Russell attended West Indies College (now known as Northern Caribbean University) in Mandeville, Jamaica. She received a 2-yr diploma in Primary Education. Then she graduated with a BA in Psychology from Andrews University. She also holds a MA in Reading Education from Andrews University. Her hobbies are swimming, traveling, storytelling and choreography. She loves GMAA so much because she has been teaching here since 1987! Her favorite foods are salad, peas and rice, chocolate cake & ice cream. She is an active member of Miami Temple SDA church. She’s a Sabbath School teacher, Pathfinder Counselor, & Choir Leader. Her goal is to touch the lives of all the children she teaches and to be known as a fun and loving teacher. Her wish is to travel to all the 50 states. Her dream is to meet all the students she has taught in Heaven by the tree of Life just as they promised in Bible Class.
